HighCube 20ft HDS multimodal container

Hydrogen Logistics Solution

Capacities

USE CASES:

TRANSPORTING HYDROGEN

Multiple-element gas container for transport:

  • by road (ADR)
  • by rail (RID)
  • by ship (IMDG)
  • by boat (ADN)

USING HYDROGEN AS A FUEL FOR STATIONARY FUEL CELLS

  • Supplying remote sites with H2
  • Quiet, emission-free generator unit

USING HYDROGEN TO REFUEL VEHICLES

  • No compressor required
  • High hydrogen availability for filling vehicles at 350 bar and partial filling of vehicles at 700 bar

USING HYDROGEN AS AN ON-BOARD FUEL

  • Designed for inclusion on IGF ships
  • No need for a hydrogen station at the dock
  • The container can be loaded on board

Description

To overcome the challenge of the cost of green hydrogen, the best solution involves centralised production.

The HDS container is designed to simplify the transportation and use of hydrogen for applications

such as hydrogen distribution for vehicles

Features

  • Stationary storage: maximum pressure of 500 bar at 15°C

  • ISO standard 20ft HC dimensions: 6058 x 2438 x 2896 mm

  • Total weight < 17 tonnes

  • Can be used with 1 main outlet or 5 independent outlets

  • Automatic valve for increased safety

  • Quick couplings for safer, easier connections

  • Pressure and temperature monitoring

  • Gas detection provided (fire and ambient H2)

Mains Benefits

High-density storage (HDS) container

  • Maximum filling pressure of 500 bar
  • Compact solution thanks to type IV tanks
  • The weight ratio (H2 weight/total weight) is four times better than a standard MEGC with type 1 tanks.
  • The MEGC contains 450 kg of compressed H2.
  • Multimodal MEGC
  • Marine environment-resistant design
  • ISO 668 dimensions
